I set my alarm clock for 6:30 and I need to be ready by 7:15 for a carpool. I normally lay in bed for like 15 minutes because it’s cold then I end up falling back asleep.
Then I finally wake up and look at the clock at 7:00 and jump out of bed because I’m late. I’m telling you, this happens EVERY morning. This morning, my clothes were wet in the dryer, so when I jumped out of bed at 7:00, I ran to the dryer to find my clothes wet. I was too caught up in my wet clothes that I didn’t even think about the dry clothes that I had. :p LOL. So then the phone rang, and it was my friend saying they were around the corner. I ran in the laundry room turned off the dryer and put on my wet jeans. Then I ran down the hallway and slipped TWO times and fell on my knees. So pretty much I had a crazy morning. Any suggestions on how to get myself out of bed in the morning? Please no obvious or stupid answers.

by the way, my alarm clock is at the end of my bed, so i have to get out of the covers and turn it off. But of course I always press snooze… Worst invention ever

Its okay, i cant get up too.
Set 2 alarms every morning..No more than 3 minutes apart..Get up when the second one goes off if you’re going to get up when the first goes off
…Getting atleast 6 hours helps too LoL
Go to bed earlier, get a heater, and wake up even earlier. You should also think about getting one of those alarm clocks that is like a toy car and you have to chase it to get it to stop.

2. say 1……2……..3…….. Motivation! when you hear your alarm.
Set your alarm clock 15 minutes earlier to allow yourself that 15 minutes of snoozing. Also, get a loud alarm clock and put it in a location where you actually have to get out of bed to turn it off. That way, by the time you stopped the alarm going off, you’re awake enough to convince yourself you can get up.
Seriously, as simple and stupid as this may sound, don’t lay in bed for the extra 15 minutes. My best friend was late almost EVERY day in high school because she always fell back asleep. Make your mom or someone just wake you up and you have to drag yourself out. Or, try setting your alarm for 6:45? It’ll give you the extra fifteen minutes and will ring then.
I know it’s cold in the morning, but you have to get up =[ I force myself lol and I am NOT a morning person. Maybe wear socks and warmer pj’s to bed so you aren’t as freezing cold (I should try that too haha)
I have the same exact problem. Not being funny, this is what helps for me. Set your alarm for 6:00. Now break your morning up into tasks. For myself, i get up and get my school and soccer stuff ready, then i take a show, then i get dressed, then i eat (sometimes). So… my routine is a bit weird but it’s what seems to work for me. Wake up at 6:00 and get all my stuff ready. Go back to sleep for 15 minutes (make sure to set your alarm). Then take a shower and after go back to sleep again for another 15 minutes. Next, get dressed and grab something to eat if you have time. By this time it will probably be 7:00 and you can wait 15 minutes. Weird, but i feel it helps.
Set your alarm for 6:15. Put your alarm across the room so you have to get up out of bed to turn it off. And don’t get back into bed!! Have someone in the house come in and tell you it’s 6:30, 6:45./
Well does your alarm have a volume on it so you can hear it? if that is your problem and you just cant hear it. i usually have that problem.

To be honest I really don’t know what to tell you (sorry)!
Put your alarm clock on the other side of your room, so you cant turn it off without getting out of bed, or get an alarm clock that has a snooze button and set it to go every 5 mins, so you get up on the third time. i have the same problem =]
It’s a curse…your parents probably have a hard time getting up and their parents probably did as well to who knows how many generations, now it’s on you to break the curse, come on you can do it, that is your mission in this life, get up ON TIME!!!
